Psalm 21.1

O LORD, in Your strength the king will be glad,
And in Your salvation how greatly he will rejoice!

This is the day which the LORD has made;
Let us be glad and rejoice in it (Psalm 118.24).

This is surgery day - in just a few hours. What great verses, and what a great psalm for my Bible reading today.

Not that I (or any of us) would want interruptions, any kind of interruptions, but God appoints them for us. Interruptions need to be dealt with. They take time and energy away from our normal pursuits and responsibilities. It will take some time for me to recover again. Nevertheless this is what God has appointed for me. Our interruptions are His appointments in life.

Believe Him. Trust Him. Embrace Him in the midst of all of it!
